  • Jos M. Koomen studied pharmacy, pharmacology (PhD) and philosophy at the University of Utrecht and is a regular visitor of the Utrecht Physical Society.
  • He worked as an assistent-professor in cardiovascular pharmacology at the University of Utrecht, co-founded and led several informatization technology companies, and published, in cooperation with the dept. of Clinical Psychology of the University of Amsterdam a review article about the complex character of drug compliance.*
  • Puzzled by the complex, i.e. pseudo-linear as well as pseudo-nonlinear character of the scientific problems he was confronted with during his career, he decided to do literature study on the logical principles underlying complexity in general and physical complexity in particular. The results of this study are presented in "Principles of Physical Complexity".
