Jos M. Koomen studied pharmacy, pharmacology (PhD) and philosophy at the University of Utrecht and is a regular visitor of the Utrecht Physical Society.
-
He worked as an assistent-professor in cardiovascular pharmacology at the University of Utrecht, co-founded and led several informatization technology companies, and published, in cooperation with the dept. of Clinical Psychology of the University of Amsterdam a review article about the complex character of drug compliance.*
-
Puzzled by the complex, i.e. pseudo-linear as well as pseudo-nonlinear character of the scientific problems he was confronted with during his career, he decided to do a literature study on the logical principles underlying complexity in general and physical complexity in particular. The results of this study are presented in "Principles of Physical Complexity".
